STONEY COVE
Rather larger than the Blue Lagoon Stoney Cove is a popular dive site and is recognised as the National Dive Centre.
The lake covers 13 acres and is 36m at its deepest point. The lake is structured with a shelf at 7m suitable for novice divers, two large areas at around 20m and an area at around 36m for more experienced divers.
The site has toilets, showers, a restaurant and bar with an outlet for ‘wet’ divers, well stocked shop and an air filling station.
Underwater attractions include a helicopter, several boats, a bus, viscount cockpit and ‘Nessie’ if you are lucky enough to spot him/her!
Stoney Cove is located just outside Stoney Stanton and can be reached from junction 21 of the M1. LE9 4DW
